FAQs

What propellants do I charge the ReShell with?
The CADS system is compatible with CO2, N2 (Nitrogen), and HPA (High Pressure Air). Nitrogen and High Pressure Air are less affected by temperature changes, while CO2 is widely available and easily sourced from retailers around the world.
Are there load limitations?
The ReShell™ cartridge operates at pressures below 1,000 psi, whereas standard shot shells typically generate pressures between 7,000 and 9,000 psi. The ReShell™ is designed for use with lightweight projectiles, including paintballs and polymer pellets, each generally weighing less than five grams. These materials ensure a safe and effective training experience.
Where does the ReShell™ fit into training?
With a five-gram polymer projectile traveling at speeds below 500 fps and accurate up to 30 yards, the ReShell™ cartridge helps mitigate the risk of injury and property damage during training. It is intended for target practice and non-lethal training scenarios, providing reliable performance in dynamic environments.
Is the ReShell™ compatible with any 12 gauge shotgun?
The ReShell™ is compatible with any standard manual or semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun chambered for a 3" shot shell. However, it will not cycle in some automatic shotguns, which typically require pressures around 7,000 to 9,000 psi to function properly. For these shotguns, manual manipulation of the bolt assembly is necessary.
Is it safe to use the ReShell™ as a self defence aid or a wildlife deterrent?
Pointing a firearm at humans or animals can have serious legal consequences, regardless of the ammunition used. The ReShell™ is not designed for self defence or wildlife deterrence. It is intended solely for training purposes. Many regions require specific modifications or designations for firearms used in less than lethal applications.
What scenario is the ReShell™ developed for?
The ReShell™ is designed to provide a cost-effective and practical training solution by offering a lightweight, affordable alternative to traditional ammunition. It allows users to perform tactical drills on their property. For best results, use with plywood-backed targets or catch boxes to prevent household damage and create a realistic training environment.
